On Friday, Jan. 20, Amy joined the Norman High Staff to present this month’s “Teacher Feature”! There are always so many great nominations and it was a tough decision. However, the winner this month was a well-deserved teacher named Erin Davis!
Here are some amazing things said about her:
“She is our Guru for faculty meditation on Wednesdays. She calms us down and makes the week manageable. Don’t know what we would without her. ”
“Erin teaches multiple courses during a single hour, providing opportunities for Latin students. Her students love her–and if you spend time in her classroom, you can see why.
She also teaches a yoga class for teachers after school on Wednesdays. The class supports all skill levels. She also suggests ways that we can apply the focusing as calming practices to our daily practice–even during class!
Erin does a great job of balancing the challenges of teaching with the challenges of mothering two small children. She is a great asset to our school.”
“She has been leading yoga sessions after school every Wednesday and they have been extremely beneficial both physically and even more importantly, mentally. Definitely deserving of teacher of the month!!!!”
WOW – amazing nominations!! I may want to drop by and take her class! LOL Thanks for all you do Erin for the Norman students and the well being of the teachers! You are appreciated – now let us take care of the housework!! blush
