St. Patrick’s Day Cleaning Tips

Toss the toxins

Store bought cleaning products are loaded with chemicals and toxins that can be harmful to your family and pets.  Switch to green cleaners or make your own like these (link to the blog on making your green cleaning supplies).

Lose the paper products

You can reduce or even eliminate the use of paper towels by using reusable towels and rags.  You can use fabric scraps, old socks, and old cloth napkins for cleaning.

Dust with dryer sheets

Give those dryer sheets a second life. After they have been used in the dryer, they can be used for wiping dust from TVs and computer monitors without scratching them.

Use nature’s air purifiers

You can skip an expensive air purifier and use houseplants to remove indoor air pollutants.  Houseplants like chrysanthemums, English ivy, spider plants, and Boston ferns naturally freshen the air.

Use a green cleaning service

If you don’t have time to clean your house, use a green cleaning service like 2 Green Chicks!
