Even if you have a home cleaning service, keeping up with the big chores around the house can be a challenge.  While 2 Green Chicks can help you keep your home clean weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, there are some tasks that should be done quarterly or annually.  Below is an easy to use checklist organized monthly to keep your home clean, fresh, and safe.

January
-Clean air vents – Dust with a rag or clean with a damp cloth
-Vacuum dryer vents – Not the actual tube that connects the dryer to the circulation vent but the lint trap area
-Clean inside and outside of the windows

February
-Flip mattresses
-Remove showerheads and clean out sediment
-Wipe down inside of the refrigerator

March
-Clean out gutters
-Clean out medicine cabinets – Throw away and replace expired medicine
-Clean out the freezer

April
-Clean air vents – Dust with a rag or clean with a damp cloth
-Vacuum dryer vents – Not the actual tube that connects the dryer to the circulation vent but the lint trap area
-Clean inside and outside of the windows

May
-Clean and check grout in bathrooms and kitchen
-Clean hard to reach places – Behind the stove, refrigerators, washer/dryer, couch
-Clean and vacuum dryer vent tube

June
-Wash duvets, blankets, comforters, spreads, and pillows
-Wipe down inside of the refrigerator
-Wash shower curtain liner

July
-Clean air vents – Dust with a rag or clean with a damp cloth
-Vacuum dryer vents – Not the actual tube that connects the dryer to the circulation vent but the lint trap
area
-Clean inside and outside of the windows

August
-Flip mattresses
-Vacuum window screens
-Wash pillows

September
-Wash walls and use touch up paint if necessary
-Clean out freezer
-Polish wood furniture

October

-Clean inside and outside of the windows

November
-Turn off and flush outdoor water faucets
-Wipe down inside of the refrigerator
-Clean and vacuum dryer vent tube

December
-Wash shower curtain liner-
-Deep clean carpet and upholstery
-Clean drapes and curtains
